Datin Nana & Alexander's Birthday

Event Planner: Evan Chee & Team
Decorations: pmweddings.my
Venue & Dinner: Hotel Stripes KL, Autograph Collection

Dato Lucas and Datin Nana celebrated their baby prince Alexander’s first birthday in August 2020 shortly after the release of the Movement Control Order during the onset of the pandemic last year.

First birthdays is always a big deal and it is important to celebrate this huge milestone and it is even greater when it is a double celebration as it was also Datin Nana’s birthday. We were privileged as Dato Lucas entrusted us with the task of orchestrating an elegant and memorable yet safe celebration for his prince and the queen of his heart amidst the pandemic.

Mirroring the beauty of Datin Nana, we created a lavish centrepiece with an abundance display of meticulously selected pastel coloured fresh roses accented by white solomio and a touch of green.

We seated guests a meter apart and thoughtfully filled the gap with decorative balloons to adhere to the SOP of hosting a gathering during the pandemic without disrupting the elegance and ambiance of the venue. This resulted in an astonishing 40ft decorated viking table. It’s the longest floral arrangement we have ever done for a birthday party table decoration.

Scented candles were strategically placed amongst the impressive fresh flower display for calming effect.

“It was amazing. Evan and her team put in so much effort in making my guests feeling safe and comfortable amidst the pandemic. Her arrangement on social distancing is made so subtly that we don’t even notice it while able to celebrate with a peace of mind. This is Alexander’s first birthday. He won’t remember much of it but thanks to the many beautiful shots, we have this memory to last a lifetime. I really appreciate her commitment and eye for detail in making this celebration a successful one” – Datin Nana

Afterthoughts from Precious Moments Team:

It was easy to work with Dato Lucas and Datin Nana as they are open to our suggestions on how to pull this off successfully while adhering to the standard operating procedure. It is definitely more challenging to organise an event during the pandemic but with thorough planning, it is not an impossible task.
